Psychomotor Training (PBSP) uses body-mind interactions to address the present-day effects and intrusion of traumatic memories. It helps people work to create ‘new memories’ of being met and seen and accepted in order to offset emotional deficiencies experienced in the past.
A re-structuring of inner images and meanings and feelings can address unresolved conflicts, perform incomplete actions, process stagnated emotions, or receive the emotional support that was missing in childhood.
Bessel van der Kolk in his book “The Body Keeps the Score” notes PBSP is a unique method for repairing attachment and building secure relationships.
Full training is around 27 days of experiential training (Year 1 is 9 days; Year 2 is 18 days; and Year 3 is 27 days), along with supervision and a video submission) – Live training will give 5 days.
PSBP USA Trainers including Jim Amundsen, Curt Levang, Gus Kaufman and Debbie Wilbur offer Monthly Psychomotor Training online.
You can form your own small group of two or more and Zoom from anywhere or join one of our existing groups in Brisbane, Gympie or Mullumbimby. Each Zoom meeting gives 1 day of training towards a running total of 27 days for full accreditation
